Cooking together gave us the confidence to, prepare, cook and eat food that would improve our health and well being; time off from having cancer and changed our eating habits.

Throughout 2005 over fifteen women from the support group met on a regular basis with community chef Robin van Creveld, to prepare, cook, eat and enjoy a number of delicious recipes.

One of the attendees, Denise, said “After the first day I was totally hooked, and looking forward to the next one. I think it was a wonderful opportunity to escape all the negative issues of cancer and to do something positive and fun”.

The chef, Robin said “These women have experienced something profoundly life changing. The significance of the support group was deeper than an outsider could comprehend. I cooked some food, talked about the nutritional and energetic properties of the ingredients and then we all ate together. The best feedback I had from one group member was that she felt that being in the class was like having a day off from having cancer”
